Volunteers needed for 39th Annual Chautauqua in the Park

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - The 39th Annual Chautauqua in the Park in Chillicothe is set for Sept. 7-8 at Simpson Park, but they are in need of some volunteers.

The Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event, emphasizes the need for nearly 150 volunteers to help the event run smoothly. Volunteers can sign up by calling 660-646-4050 by Aug. 14.

Registered volunteers will receive a complimentary event t-shirt. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

This year's event, which is presented by Hedrick Medical Center, will feature a variety of entertainment, activities, artists, crafts, and food.
