ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Two major closures of I-29 in St. Joseph are scheduled for next week as part of the Cook Road Bridge rehabilitation project.
Clarkson Construction and the Missouri Department of Transporation will close northbound I-29 lanes from 4 a.m. next Monday through 4 a.m. next Friday for bridge painting.
Southbound lanes will close from 4 a.m. on Monday, October 14, through 4 a.m. on Friday, October 18, for additional painting. Traffic will be rerouted onto I-2-29 during these closures, and several local exits will be inaccessible.
The project, which will widen the bridge and add a pedestrian sidewalk, is expected to be completed by mid-October.
