NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - Nebraska City will host its first Hispanic Heritage celebration this Saturday, featuring bilingual storyteller Linda Garcia-Perez. The event begins at 2 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building.
Garcia-Perez is a renowned storyteller. She will share "Traditional Hispanic Stories for Families and Children," drawing on her experiences growing up in Omaha’s Mexican-American community.
Her presentation is part of the Humanities Nebraska Speakers Bureau, sponsored by Humanities Nebraska and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
The event is free and open to the public, in observance of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
