Rose Theater preparing for "Peggy, the Pint-Sized Pirate"

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Rose Theatre in Maryville is set to stage "Peggy, the Pint-Sized Pirate" on Friday, October 11 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, October 12 at 2 p.m. Tickets will be available at Maryville Hy-Vee starting tomorrow.

This comedy, featuring nine 1st through 6th grade actors, tells the story of Peggy, a small pirate who’s underestimated by her peers but ends up saving the day when a sea monster threatens their crew.

Directed by Sunshine Williams, Julie Farnan, and Nina Dewhirst, the show also includes middle and high school students handling the technical side of the production.

The play is part of a unique program for home-schooled students and promises an entertaining showcase of young talent.
