The Southwest Iowa Art Tour is celebrating its 11th year, connecting rural communities through art, lasting from this Friday to Sunday.

This self-guided tour will feature 13 towns, 20 Gathering Places, and over 90 local artists showcasing diverse art forms like painting, sculpture, jewelry, and more.

New locations this year include stops in Council Bluffs, Shenandoah, Sidney, and Thurman.

The tour begins with a "Sneak Peek" on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at select locations, with the full event running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Visitors can enjoy art demonstrations, live music, wine tastings, and the opportunity to purchase original artwork directly from local artists. For more information and to plan your route, visit swiarttour.com.
