St. Joseph MDC buying tree seeds next month

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is buying tree seeds from the public for select species in the St. Joseph area.

Seeds will be accepted at the MDC’s Northwest Regional Office on October 2 and 30 from 9 a.m. until noon, and on October 17 from noon to 4:30 p.m.

The tree species being accepted include black cherry, butternut, various oaks, persimmon, redbud, and more. Pricing varies by species.

MDC reserves the right to stop buying once needs are met and will reject poor-quality seeds. For more information, call 816-271-3100 or visit the MDC website.
