Teen seriously injured in Caldwell County wreck

MIRABILE, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two teenagers were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Caldwell County.

The Patrol says a 15-year-old girl from Lathrop was driving a 2000 Chevy S10 on SW Austin Drive, about three miles southwest of Mirabile.

At 2:20 a.m. Sunday, the 15-year-old lost control of the Chevy because it was traveling too fast. The pick-up truck left the road and struck several trees.

While the 15-year-old, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, didn't suffer any injuries. A passenger, 18-year-old Gabrile Baker of Richmond, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
