ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is hosting a youth deer rifle sight-in clinic this Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pigeon Hill outdoor shooting range, just south of St. Joseph.

This clinic is designed for first-time youth hunters or those with new equipment, helping them get familiar with their rifles and scopes before the hunting season.

MDC Conservation Agent Parker Rice will be on hand to assist with sight-ins and answer questions about the upcoming deer season. MDC will provide targets, sandbags, and tools for practice.

No registration is required, and all participants under 18 are welcome. A small prize will be awarded for the best three-shot group. For more information, contact Agent Rice at 816-244-6935.
