38th annual fall driving tour at Poosey Conservation Area coming up

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation will host the 38th annual fall driving tour at Poosey Conservation Area on Sunday, October 20, from noon to 4 p.m.

Visitors can enjoy stunning fall foliage as they drive along gravel service roads that are usually closed to public traffic.

The route, which starts at Pike’s Lake, offers scenic views of forests and woodlands, with several interpretive stops highlighting conservation practices.

The tour is open to cars, trucks, horse-drawn buggies, and even horseback riders, with a slow driving pace recommended. For more information, contact MDC’s Chillicothe Office at 660-646-6122 or visit their website.
