Area library to host Halloween chess tournament

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Rolling Hills Library is hosting its second U.S. Chess Federation-rated tournament, the Frightful Fast Chess Frenzy, on Thursday, October 31, starting at 6 p.m. at the Belt Branch.

This Halloween-themed event is a blitz-style chess tournament where players will have just 5 minutes per game. The free event will feature double round-robin play, and spooky trophies will be awarded to top players.

Chess enthusiasts are encouraged to register online at rhcl.org. Be sure to arrive early to find your table and get ready for some fast-paced chess action!
