JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Gov. Mike Parson has officially proclaimed October as Pork Month in Missouri, honoring the state's pig farmers and their contributions.
Missouri ranks seventh in the nation for pork production, with 3.35 million hogs and nearly $1.4 billion in value.
Governor Parson praised Missouri's pork producers, saying, “Pork is one of the most nutritious and versatile products, and the industry deserves to be celebrated, especially during Pork Month.” For more details, visit mopork.com.
