Groundbreaking for Krug Park reservations to be held this week

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Renovations at Krug Park are set to begin soon, with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for Thursday, October 10 at 4p.m. at the park’s amphitheater.

City officials say this project has been in the works for some time, aiming to restore Krug Park to its former glory and prepare it for a better future.

The focus of the renovation includes making the park’s facilities, such as restrooms and electrical systems, fully operational, improving accessibility to areas like the bowl and castle, and enhancing the children’s circus area with new features like the popular slides.

Officials add that they hope these updates will help preserve the park’s legacy for both residents and visitors.
