JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Veterans Recognition Program, alongside the Missouri Veterans Commission, has extended the deadline for submissions to design a new Veterans’ medal and medallion.
The new deadline is October 31. This medal will honor Veterans who served during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, and Operation Allies Refuge.
Design submissions are for the front of the medal only and should not resemble existing military awards. Veterans who served in these operations and were Missouri residents or members of the Missouri National Guard are eligible.
