MSHP: UTV crash seriously injures two

ambulance emergency

POLO, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a UTV crash has seriously injured two people in Caldwell County.

The Patrol says 46-year-old Justin Chapman of Polo was driving a 2024 Kawasaki Teryx UTV, with 27-year-old Elizabeth Gutierrez of Holt as a passenger.

The Patrol says at 12:40 a.m. Monday, the UTV was traveling too fast near Templeton Drive in Polo before striking an embankment and overturning several times.

Chapman was taken to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries while Gutierrez was taken to North Kansas City Hospital with serious injuries.
