MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for this year’s Grinch Contest.
The nominees are Joe Frueh of Elks Lodge 760, Cris Wilmes from the Nodaway County Senior Center, Chelli Green of Santa Cops, John Coffey from KXCV-KRNW, and W.R. O'Riley of the Maryville Host Lions Club.
Each finalist represents a local non-profit, and the community can vote for them by donating money in containers at Walmart. Every dollar counts as one vote.
The finalist with the most votes will be named the Grinch of Maryville, with all funds raised going to the non-profit they represent. Voting begins November 1 and ends at noon on November 22.
The Grinch will be featured as the Grand Marshall in the Downtown Maryville Christmas Parade. For more information, contact the Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce.
