JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Revenue's Motor Vehicle and Driver License division is preparing to launch a modernized driver license processing system on Tuesday, November 12, with temporary closures affecting some license offices.
On Wednesday, November 6, license offices will only process motor vehicle transactions. Driver license services will not be available.
On Thursday, November 7, some offices will be closed, while others will only offer motor vehicle services. All offices will be closed on Friday, November 8, for system conversion, and on Monday, November 11, for Veterans Day.
Director Wayne Wallingford says the new system will streamline services and improve customer experience, with features like online renewals and mobile ID credentials. A second phase of improvements is planned for 2026.
