Montgomery County juvenile arrested and charged with allegedly making terroristic threat

VILLISCA, Iowa - A juvenile has been arrested in Montgomery County following a threat made Tuesday morning.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the arrest occurred at Southwest Valley Middle School in Villisca around 11 a.m.M on charges of threat of terrorism.

Southwest Valley School Superintendent Chris Fenster clarified that the threat was not aimed at the school district but at another entity, though he did not provide details.

The juvenile was taken to the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center before being transferred to the Juvenile Detention Center in Council Bluffs.
