ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The St. Joseph Public Library is hosting a program to help young people learn the basics of voting and why it's important.

The event, aimed at participants aged 14 and up, will take place at the Downtown Library Monday, October 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Attendees will get an unbiased, nonpartisan introduction to the voting process and experience a mock election. Those who are 17-and-a-half or older can also register to vote at the end of the program.
