MOUND CITY, Mo. - Bald eagles are soaring into northwest Missouri as the 45th annual Eagle Days returns to Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge near Mound City.

Hosted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Missouri Department of Conservation, this free event takes place Saturday, December 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, December 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors can enjoy live eagle shows presented hourly by the World Bird Sanctuary, featuring rehabilitated eagles that cannot be released into the wild.

Guided bus tours and interpretive stops along the refuge’s wetland driving tour offer a chance to spot eagles, trumpeter swans, geese, and ducks. Spotting scopes and nature exhibits, including displays on mammals, waterfowl, and wetland management, enhance the experience.
