GRANT CITY, Mo. - A 72-year-old woman from Grant City suffered serious injuries in a crash on private property at 301 West Street in Grant City over the weekend.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a 2015 Dodge Caravan on Saturday. After stopping at 4:52 p.m., she left the vehicle in drive and attempted to exit.
The van began rolling backward, and she was struck by the open door, causing her to fall. The vehicle continued rolling downhill, crossed West Street, and eventually struck a parked Toyota Camry at a nearby driveway.
The woman was transported to Mosaic in Saint Joseph for treatment.
