WATSON, Mo. - A crash on I-29, six miles north of Watson, claimed three lives. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 7:22 a.m. Sunday when two vehicles caused a multi-vehicle collision.
A 2023 Kia Sorento collided head-on with a 2013 Ford Focus.
Both drivers, a 29-year-old man from Bellevue, Nebraska, and an 18-year-old man from Kearney, Missouri, were killed, along with an 18-year-old female passenger in the Ford Focus.
Another passenger in the Ford, also 18, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Nebraska Medical Center. A juvenile in the Kia suffered moderate injuries.
Two other vehicles, a semi and a Chevy Tahoe, were also involved in the crash. The semi swerved to avoid the collision and struck the Tahoe. The Tahoe’s driver sustained minor injuries. No other details have been released.
