ROCK PORT, Mo. - A three-vehicle crash on I-29 near Rock Port sent two people to the hospital. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 6:33 p.m. Monday.
A northbound semi struck the rear of a 2017 Toyota Camry in the passing lane. The impact pushed the Camry into the driving lane, where it was hit again by a different semi, causing it to overturn and block the northbound lanes.
The 79-year-old driver of the Camry from Lawrence, Kansas, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Nemaha County Hospital.
The 52-year-old driver of the overturned semi from Omaha, Nebraska, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Bergan Mercy Hospital after initial treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
