RED OAK, Iowa - A Red Oak man and a juvenile face charges of child endangerment after an incident involving a drug overdose.
Red Oak Police responded to a home on North 4th Street Tuesday night, where two individuals were treated for suspected overdoses by Red Oak Rescue and taken to Montgomery County Memorial Hospital.
Inside the home, officers found a nine-year-old girl under their care.
After investigating, police arrested 21-year-old Seth Michael Houser on two counts of child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A 14-year-old was also charged with child endangerment. Houser is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $2,000 bond, while the juvenile was sent to a detention center.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and Red Oak Rescue assisted at the scene.
