St. Joseph man seriously injured in ATV accident

SAVANNAH, Mo. - A 55-year-old man from St. Joseph sustained serious injuries in an ATV crash Saturday afternoon in Andrew County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1:15 p.m. on County Road 66, about 6.5 miles northwest of Savannah.

The man was driving a 2023 Suzuki King Quad 500 westbound when he lost traction while making a left turn. The ATV overturned, ejecting the driver, who came to rest on his back at the intersection.

The ATV landed on its wheels on top of him. He was taken to Mosaic Life Care by Andrew County Ambulance. The Andrew County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
