FARRAGUT, Iowa - A Clarinda woman faces serious charges following a Fremont County investigation.

Authorities say 44-year-old Tabitha Rose Ann Holste was arrested within the last week on multiple counts, including possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, first-degree theft, and possession of contraband in a correctional facility.

The investigation began when the Fremont County Sheriff's Office received a report of a stolen vehicle in Farragut. Mills County deputies later located the vehicle near Emerson, leading to a pursuit.

Holste fled on foot but was found hiding in a creek south of Emerson after a search involving the Fremont County K-9 Unit and Mills County drone unit.

Officials discovered approximately a quarter pound of suspected meth during the search. Holste is being held in the Fremont County Jail on a $100,000 bond and multiple outstanding warrants.
