Iowa officials investigating deadly crash involving teen

MCCLELLAND, Iowa - Authorities say they're investigating a tragic one-vehicle accident in Pottawattamie County that claimed the life of a teenager and left others injured.

Authorities say the crash happened around 7 p.m. Sunday on 265th Street near McClelland.

Emergency responders from the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office and local fire departments provided aid to four juveniles involved in the crash.

One juvenile was transported to Council Bluffs Mercy Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

The Underwood School District issued a statement expressing condolences to the family of the 14-year-old and asked the community to keep them in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
