MSHP: Man seriously injured in single-vehicle crash

STWEARTSIVLLE, Mo. - A single-vehicle crash in DeKalb County left one person seriously injured.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 7 a.m. Monday on Route N, less than a mile north of U.S. 36, near Stewartsville.

A 2014 Honda CRV, driven by a 29-year-old man from Amity, Missouri, was traveling southbound when it failed to negotiate a turn.

The vehicle crossed the center line, went off the side of the roadway, and struck multiple trees before coming to rest on its wheels.

The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Mosaic Medical Center in St. Joseph.
