ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - St. Joseph has named Lebanon City Administrator Mike Schumacher as its new City Manager.
Schumacher brings over 34 years of experience in local government, including a previous role as Assistant City Manager in Kansas City.
St. Joseph Mayor John Josendale praised Schumacher’s expertise in public safety, labor relations, fiscal management, and housing, saying, Mike exhibited all the qualifications City Council members were looking for.
He adds that they look forward to supporting his efforts and the difference he will make in the community. The city expects to finalize a contract by January 6, with Schumacher officially starting at St. Joseph City Hall on January 21.
His annual salary will be $190,000.
