Tiffany Hughey's spectacular year on the track continues this week with an eye toward the Olympic Trials in June.

Hughey will compete in the 22nd annual Music City Track Carnival on Saturday at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN.

Hughey, an 11-time All-American and four-time national champion, will run in the 400m and try to earn an automatic spot in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials. The automatic standard qualification time in the 400 is 51.20 seconds. If there aren't enough automatic qualifers, the trials will accept up to 35 competitors with a chance to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Hughey won the 400 at the NCAA Division 2 National Championships last weekend running it in a Northwest record time of 52.03 seconds.

Former Bearcat Hiba Saeed will also be competing in Tennessee this weekend in the 200m and 400m with hopes of qualifying for the Olympic Trials.
