JAMESPORT, Mo. - A head-on crash in Daviess County sent two Trenton men to the hospital Friday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 7 p.m. on Missouri Highway 6, two miles east of Jamesport.
A 2013 GMC Sierra, driven by a 69-year-old Trenton man, was traveling eastbound when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound 2009 Ford Focus, driven by a 62-year-old Trenton man.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and came to rest on the north side of the highway.
The 62-year-old driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered serious injuries and was transported by Community Ambulance District to Liberty Hospital.
The 69-year-old driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, also suffered serious injuries and was taken by Grundy County EMS to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.
The crash remains under investigation. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by additional troopers and emergency responders.
