JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri is celebrating National FFA Week from February 15-22, as proclaimed by Gov. Mike Kehoe on behalf of more than 27,000 Missouri FFA members.

In a nod to FFA traditions, Gov. Kehoe arrived at the Capitol driving a John Deere tractor, a symbolic gesture honoring students who drive their tractors to school during the week.

Missouri Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn joined the event, where Missouri FFA President Andi Belt accepted the proclamation.

Gov. Kehoe praised FFA members as the future of Missouri’s agriculture industry, while Director Chinn highlighted the importance of supporting young leaders in agriculture.

Missouri FFA, part of the National FFA Organization founded in Kansas City in 1928, continues to provide hands-on learning and leadership development for students.

With 365 chapters statewide, Missouri ranks eleventh in FFA membership.
