MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Maryville Garden Club is now accepting applications for its second annual $500 scholarship for high school seniors in Nodaway County.
The scholarship is open to seniors graduating in May from any Nodaway County high school or certified homeschool program.
Applicants must be planning to attend a college, university, or technical school in the fall, pursuing a plant science or related field.
Students should have an interest in gardening, horticulture, native plants, pollinators, birds, or environmental issues.
Applications are available through high school counselors, and homeschooled students can call 660-853-2050 for more details. The deadline to apply is April 1.
The scholarship is funded by Maryville Garden Club members, who are passionate about gardening, conservation, and civic planting.
The club meets monthly and hosts plant sales, garden tours, and a flower show during the County Fair. For more information, visit the Maryville Garden Club Facebook page or call 660-853-2050.
