CLARINDA, Iowa - Memorial services have been announced for Jase Wilmes, the Northwest Missouri State University student who died in a crash early Sunday morning in Page County, Iowa.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. this Friday in the Clarinda High School gymnasium, with a memorial service scheduled for 11 a.m. this Saturday at the same location.

Wilmes, a 19-year-old first-year agricultural business major, was killed when his pickup lost control on 210th Street, veered off the road, and crashed into a wooded area before overturning and catching fire.

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating. Northwest Missouri State University is offering counseling resources for students, faculty, and staff affected by the loss.
