Woman dies from injuries suffered in crash

SAVANNAH, Mo. - A woman injured in a crash Saturday morning in Andrew County has died.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened just before 10:30 a.m. on 71 Highway at County Road 58, three miles north of Savannah.

A 20-year-old woman from Savannah was driving a 2014 Chevy Impala southbound when she rear-ended a 2019 Chevy Silverado pulling a gooseneck horse trailer. The woman was taken to Mosaic Life Care, where she later died.

Authorities say she was not wearing a seat belt. The 31-year-old Savannah man driving the pickup was not injured. The Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of accident victims.
