High wind and changing weather patterns

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for the KXCV/KRNW listening area until 10 o'clock tonight.

Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weasther Service in Pleasant Hill Jon Kurtz says wind gusts of 30 to 40 miles per hour are expected this morning with gusts up to 60 miles per hour with a slight change in the weather pattern later today.

Kurtz says the wind, rain and snow will make traveling hazardous as the day goes on. The damaging winds have the potential to blow down trees and power lines as well.
