Maryville City Council approved pickleball courts for Beal Park

Pickleball players in Maryville will soon have a new venue to play the sport. The Maryville City Council approved a contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates for professional engineering services to design pickleball courts in place of the tennis courts at Beal Park. Maryville Interim City Manager Ryan Heiland says the new pickleball courts are part of a long-range master plan study conducted by the Maryville Parks and Recreation Board.

"That was identified as a community need through that process which included community input. It is a great opportinuty to provide a new amentiy that the community has been asking for.", says Heiland.

Heiland says construction of the new pickleball courts at Beal Park is expected to get underway this summer with completion of the project in August or September.
