Small farmers and orchard enthusiasts in Maryville get the chance to learn hands-on fruit tree grafting and business strategies during an upcoming University of Missouri Exension wokshop."Root to Profit" takes place today from 4-7pm, guiding participants with sklls and expanding their operations.


Attendees will learn about orchard management, business planning, and financial resources available to smaller farmers.Officials say the workshop is great for producers wanting an opportunity to improve profits while also getting experience.


Participants will also graft their own apple and pear trees to take home.
