The St. Joseph Public Library will host a local author showcase Saturday, March 29. The event gives attendees the opportunity to meet with local authors to learn more about their books, their writing processes and to get tips on how to get started writing books. Outreach and Marketing Services Manager at the library, Jessica Poet says this year's event will feature fourteen local artists, some of whom are well-known in the area.
"Lory Lacy wrote a book on Jack the Ripper and has been an author highlighted around town in various events. We also have Sophie Stern, Leticia L. Montgomery, another one you might have heard of is Suzanne Lehr. She wrote the book on the Mount Mora Cemetery here in St. Joe. So we have a wide variety of authors and genres coming."
Poet adds some of the authors will have their books available for purchase. The event runs Saturday, March 29 from 1 until 3 PM at the Downtown Library at 927 Felix Street.
