Our listening area is ranked one of the best places for doctors to land a job

With National Doctors' Day coming up on Sunday, some of the best places for doctors to land a job are right here in our listening area. According to financial website WalletHub, Iowa ranked fourth in the poll, Missouri ranked twelfth, Nebraska was ranked at sixteenth, and Kansas comes in nineteenth place for doctors to land a job.

WalletHub looked at metrics such as annual salary, annual malpractice liability insurance, and others. Nebraska has the lowest annual malpractice liability insurance rate, and is 8.1 times lower than in New York which had the highest rate in that regard.

The best state to be a doctor was Montana while the worst was Hawaii.
