Scholarship opportunities

Mosaic Medical Center - Maryville and St. Francis Foundation has established a new scholarship. A lifetime commitment to delivering quality health care to the community has led Billye McCrary and her husband Ron to create a scholarship of $35,000 gifted in support of future nurses. Director of Development at Mosiac Foundation, Megan Jennings says the scholarship will benefit the nursing profession and Mosiac.

"To carry forth a legacy of helping nurses get through school, acheive their dreams, and come back to work at our local hospital. There is many of us that still working at Mosaic Medical Center- Maryville that worked with Billye and it is really special to have someone that dedicated a lifetime or career in service.", says Jennings.

Jennings says McCary began her nursing career at St. Francis after receiving a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 1984.

Jennings said, "This is a really full circle moment for a lot of us that knew Billye, worked with Billye and just grateful that they chose to give back in this way."

More information concerning the Ron and Billye McCrary Scholarship for Nursing Excellence is available at St.FrancisHospitalFoundation.com. The Foundation will begin accepting scholarship applications in August.
