Take precautions for the wind

High Wind Warning

Another windy day is in store for the region. The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning until 10 o'clock tonight. Warning Coordination Meteorologist Jon Kurtz with the National Weather Service says it's important to take precautions to be safe today.

Ensure your lawn furniture is anchored down or put away safely and nothing is out in your yard able to blow around freely.

In addition to the High Wind Warning, the National Weather Service has also issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Atchison, Holt and Nodaway Counties from 10 AM to 11 PM. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch is possible with wind gusts of 60 miles per hour will reduce visibility and cause tree damage and power line damage.
