Two states in the KXCV/KRNW listening are listed in WalletHub's survey of the least Innovative in the country.
The 2025 Most and Least Innovative States list. States are judged off of 25 key metics including data like the Share of STEM profesionals to Research and Development spending per capita.
Iowa and Kansas ranked as two of the least innovative states with Iowa ranked 44th and Kansas 46th. Other states in the listening area ranked better including Nebraska being ranked 38th and Missouri being ranked 39th.
Among the most innovative states, The District of Columbia is number 1 trailed by Massachusetts and California. The least innovative state was Mississippi.
In terms of STEM innovation around the world, the United States ranked number 3 trailing only Switzerland and Sweden.
