St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce leads their annual Washington DC fly-in event

The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce leads a group of business and community leaders to Washington DC this week for their annual Washington DC Fly-In event.

The delegation meets with members of Congress, U.S. Senators, and Legislative Staff to discuss priorities for St. Joseph.

President and CEO of the St. Joseph Chamber, Natalie Hawn, says the fly-in helps legislators understand priorities for St. Joseph.

Last year's Fly-In resulted in Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt's support for the new C-130-J airplane, located at the US Air National Guard base in St. Joseph.

This year's delegation from St. Joseph arrives in Washingto DC today and will lobby legislators through Thursday.
