This week is National Work Zone Awareness Week

This week, Missouri American Water is joining the nationwide call for safer driving in work zones during National Work Zone Awareness Week, running today through Friday.

Company President Rich Svindland says workers are out every day maintaining and upgrading water and wastewater systems—often just feet away from moving traffic. He reminds drivers that staying alert and slowing down in work zones helps protect both workers and drivers.

Missouri American Water has crews working across the state and invests millions each year in infrastructure improvements. With safety as a top priority, the company is urging Missourians to follow a few simple rules: slow down, pay attention, and watch for signs and workers in active work zones.
