Plans are moving forward for the construction of Maryville's new water treatment facility. The Maryville City Council this week approved Crossland Heavy Contractors to serve as Construction Manager of the project. Interim City Manager Ryan Heiland says the Council's action pushes the project into the next phase of the construction process.
"We are looking for that to potentially begin preliminary grading to begin this summer and then full construction into the late fall to start on the main construction of those facilities.", says Heiland.
Heiland says Crossland Heavy Contractor representatives and city officials will meet with the Missouri Department of Natural Recourses on Monday to review the preliminary design of the new water treatment plant.
