Weather threat for Missouri, Iowa, and Kansas

With a severe weather event in the region meteorologist Alex Krull from the National Weather Service forcasted the storms hitting the area today.

"We'll be looking at isolated activity in the afternoon and we may have more organized thunderstorm activity on Wednesday night into Thursday.", says Krull.

With these storms, high winds and hail of up to one inch is possible. With winds gusting up to 60 miles per hour, the tornado threat is low. Though tornadoes are not a threat Alex Krull raised another concern coming to the area.

"Particularly in areas that have already seen heavy rainfall, the soil is quite wet across most of Missouri, so any rainfall above 2 inches could potentially result in flash flooding. So be careful if you are out driving and do not drive across any flooded any roadways.", says Krull.
