Cancer survivors invited to take part in annual Survivorship Event at the Healing Garden at Mosaic Medical Center

Cancer survivors in northwest Missouri are invited to take part in two special events honoring their strength and journey.

In Maryville, the second annual Survivorship Event will take place on Monday, June 2, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Healing Garden at Mosaic Medical Center. The theme this year is Bringing Light to the Fight—a celebration of survivorship, shared stories, and hope for the future. The event will feature snacks, fellowship, and an open invitation for survivors to speak about their experiences. For more information, call 660-562-5387.

Meanwhile, in St. Joseph, Mosaic Cancer Care will host its Cancer Survivor Day and 5K run/walk on Saturday, May 31. Festivities begin at 3:30 p.m. with music, refreshments, and time for survivors to connect. Race packet pickup and registration will run from 4:30 to 5:30, with the race stepping off at 6 p.m. Registration is $20 for ages five and up, which includes a t-shirt and medal. Kids four and under are free.
