Auburn, Nebraska is launching its first-ever Community Mosaic Project, and local artists are encouraged to take part. Organized by the Auburn Creative District, the initiative invites people of all ages and skill levels to contribute a painted canvas that will become part of a large-scale public art display.
Each participant will receive a 10-by-11-inch hexagonal canvas to paint, which will be assembled into a collaborative mosaic to be exhibited later this year. The goal is to showcase Auburn’s diverse creative community and support future arts programming.
Canvas pickup begins Wednesday, and those interested in participating should email creativedistrict@growauburnne.org to request a project packet.
After the public exhibit, the artwork will be offered for sale, with proceeds going toward creative initiatives in Auburn. Supporters will also have the chance to preview and reserve selected pieces during a Patron’s Party scheduled for September.
This project is part of a broader effort by the Auburn Creative District to promote local art and bring the community together through shared creative experiences. More information can be found at growauburnne.org.
