Conagra Brands in Macon, Missouri expanding and creating more jobs

Conagra Brands is investing $29.1 million to expand its Macon, Missouri facility, creating 26 new jobs. The expansion includes replacing outdated equipment and adding new systems to boost production and sustainability, particularly for healthier meal options like Healthy Choice and Marie Callender’s.

The expansion will also retain 340 existing jobs, making Conagra the largest employer in Macon County.

The company will benefit from Missouri’s economic development programs, including Missouri Works and Missouri One Start. Local officials expressed their support, with Macon Mayor Tony Petre and others emphasizing the positive impact on the community’s economy.

Conagra, which reported over $12 billion in sales for fiscal year 2024, is known for brands like Birds Eye, Healthy Choice, and Marie Callender's.
