Roadwork begins today on a section of Interstate 29 north of Mound City
Roadwork begins today on a section of Interstate 29 north of Mound City. The first phase focuses on shoulder reinforcements along the highway. A second stage will replace the deck of the Highway 59 bridge which crosses over I-29 at that location. The bridgework is scheduled to begin on June 2nd , and the shoulder work will being tomorrow and carry on through the remainder of the week, weather permitting. I-29 will be reduced to a single lane during the work; Motorists can expect delays and alternating traffic.
Additionally, Route 136 west of Brulington Junction is down to single lane alternating traffic this week, while work crews replace concrete along the roadway.
